I love axial, I love the wraith and I love the SCX10. Even loved my AX-10. However, I think this one was a bit disappointing.... Maybe the next one will have a little more effort put into it as far as the details if they licence their product after someones realistic work...

Waaaa, waaaa, waaaaah, like you guys wouldn't have got and it tore it apart and changed it completely lol! You know damn well you would have, and if they would have made the changes to the Wraith V1 you asked for you would have changed it back lol. Truth is WE, Who are sitting here a bit dissapointed are in so deep we will never be happy with another persons design, thats what makes us love the hobby like we do. This rig will bring even more new people to the hobby, which will ultimately produce more R&D, more shops, more people making and designing crap in their basements at 2 am while the family is sleeping. They could have done everything we wanted but then wed be bored! So talk your shit, support the hobby and buy one and change it like you know your gonna do! Take that haters, LIK |

I'm going to guess that the guys at poison spider are happy with it since they approved it to be manufactured.

How will this thing crawl? Does it have a nice low gear? |

For the people that are new to the hobby I think it will be a hit. I remember when I saw my first Wraith at the hobby shop and my jaw dropped. That one is a little flashier so it will get more into the scene. Then, they will proceed to tear it apart like we all do and make their own version. @1BAMFR - out of the box it's a rock racer so it doesn't crawl all that great. Some tweaking and it's a lot better. Stock gearing will be too high to crawl, but you can swap out the pinion and make it a lot more reasonable. |

I like it. The fact that it is Wraith-based makes parts support easier. Its got a clean look. The bead locks look interesting. The tires look interesting. And modding it is your job, not Axial's. I say WELL DONE! |

Not everyone wants to build their truck a lot of people just want to drive it. Therefore this is the perfect package for those people. On top of that a lot of people don't have a budget to build a custom Wraith and at this price point it makes the truck available to a lot of people.

So I was at the LHS picking up some pinions and differential oil and noticed they had unboxed the new Axial Poison Spyder. First thing I noticed was that driver rear shock was already leaking and that the shock body still had oil residue. The other three looked okay. Tires....well not R35 and surprisingly with the air vent thing they're trying to do I'd say foams should have been the go to choice especially once you put your battery into this thing and start crawling. Wheel and tire setup definitely budget and I wonder how they'd perform against a 2.2" Axial Rock Lizard w/standard foams LOL using the same rig same setup. But yeah basically all they did was do a wheel/tire swap changed the old RTR seats to black and put on their new BL's and "scale" BFG Krawlers...I'd say go find a used kit Wraith roller if you're on a budget unless your a huge fan of that baby blue Poison. |

You all are complaining about mostly style changes. My questions are: Is Axial still using self-tapping screws in critical areas where only 3mmx.5mm machine threaded bolts should be? Are they finally applying loctite to the trans output shaft bolts? Have they taught the Tawainese kids how to de-burr shock pistons before assembly? Do the rod ends use metal balls or plastic? Unfortunately, I think I know the answers to these questions. Axial is after profit, not quality. Shame on them. Long live my original AX-10 kit. |

I just picked one of these up, it's my first wraith, and I have like 10 scale crawlers, but never a wraith till now.. Love the poison spider graphics and who cares if its the same but different paint it made me finally want a wraith.. But to be honest my daughter really wanted it, she has been wanting to go crawling with her brothers for a while now.. And when we both saw this rig it caught our eyes and we made the purchase, now I finally got a wraith among the heard and its pretty cool out of the box, but some alum parts are in order... As for all the whines and complaints you are all just jealous that you didn't wait and get the poison spider wraith rather than the regular rtr...lol.. |
