Hey Natski I've been using a marine grease...it's green, sticky as hell and waterproof. Comes in a 16 OZ tub and can be found at your local auto parts store..about $7 and I've been re-building my axels lately and this stuff is still on my gears ...can't say you'll find anything better for the price. |

Generally you can use any grease that you would use on your every day vehicle. I personally use a grease called krazy grease. It's green and tacky as h**l also very good water grease. Sent from my GT-I9100M using Tapatalk 4 Beta |

I use a product called SuperLube, have been since the '80s. Found out a local Ace Hardware carries it. | |

red and tacky seems o hold up better than the normal auto grease. And because it stays in place better - less is more.

try " speed grease", waterproof . 3 bucks for a tub of it and you dont have to coat the entire axle with it ( newbie thing ,they dont know ant better and it just makes a mess) . just cover the gears with it and your good to go and it lasts forever. use it in all my rigs for several years without issue.

If your axles/gears have plastic parts make sure to use a lube that is compatible with plastic. Petroleum based lubes can weaken plastic parts.

should you grease the outer bearings to protect it from water getting in the actual ball bearings inside, like on the rear lock outs, chubs and knuckles? or the bearings are pretty well sealed? |
