Default Worm and Worm Gear Question

Okay guys, I'm in the middle of my TJ Build and I want to make up a working Steering gear (Steering box). Something that will be to "scale". I would like it to be ran from the steering column and really turn the wheels. My plan is to have a servo under the dash the will be running the steering column. I am having a hard time finding a set of gears that will work for it. I need a hardened steel Worm and Worm gear set that will be the base to build the box around. My problem i am having is it is hard to find a set of gears small enough and when i do find some, they are out of stock. I was hoping that some of you guys know some site that i don't that have something that will work.

This is the best I can find, but the worm is still bigger then i would like.

What do you guys think? any Ideas?

Thanks for whatever help you can give.

I've been thinking about this too for a Jeep tuber I'm working on for my stepson. But I'm not sure where to find gears or how feasible it really is. Might be better to just use a bell crank.

Losi Micro Trail Trekkers use a brass gear and steel worm. These are probably small enough to accomplish your task but still strong enough for what you need. IIRC they're 16:1 ratio or pretty close too so you'll get quicker steering than even the best ratio of the gears you posted.

This should solve your requirement...
I think this company is the best when it comes to availability of small gears....

But Horrible price
