| O Ring Question that I cant seem to find an answer to.
I have followed the advise from all of the O ring modification threads but cant find any discussion about what to do to the front. I have taken out 9.6mm of slack from the rear O ring and re installed it. If I run it in its current state with the front O ring stock will it hurt anything? Also how many MM should i cut out of the front O ring if I need to cut it? My crawler is a 4th generation Scorpion. Thanks in advance! Giles Ps. I took the center plastic piece out of the tires and found that they do a little bit better on rocks... But they run a little bit flat now so i feel that i might be loosing some ground clearance.... Anyone have any opinion about which set up is better? Stock tires and wheels (3 pieces) or just the outside wheel and inside wheel with center plastic from inside the tire removed. |

i took the center out too to get the tire flex but i keep running into the same problem the tire comes off the bead then it starts to fold alot then binds up wich is bad i broke a knuckle that way. so what i suggest is cutting the rim and that insert about 1/4" and put it back together this will give you just a pinch more clearance as the tires are just barely bigger but it also keeps the tire a little harder so it doesnt fold up too much you can find a thread about it in the ultimate mod guide 2.0 thread. anyway that is what my buddy did on his and i have to do it this weekend since i got my new scorp in.(parts truck) ... i hope i helped see ya around Last edited by rutler101; 10-06-2006 at 02:34 PM. | |

| one question.......
would you rather have your belts slipping or your gears stripping??? Theses things are tough , but only so tough . Like Clint eastwood said " A man's got to know his limitations" the choice is yours. Personally I think discrection is the better part of valor. |
