Default what is the heaviest diff oil out there? were do i get it?

Looking for some help. Wanting to stiffen up the front differential on my twin hammers (not full lock). I've heard people using 500k but it still had a little too much give. Anything higher?

Any input is appreciated.

Tra5039 Diff lube for the slayer.

500k (500,000)

Thats the thickest I could find with out it locking the diff completely. It seemed to be a perfect harry medium. Almost acting like a limited slip.

Thanks for the info. A limited slip action is what I'm looking for.

I thought I saw a post once of someone talking about 1,000,000 weight, but they might have been screwing with everyone.

There is some 1 million weight from Tamiya. I have some its more like a heavy grease than oil. I used it in my twin hammers diff but it was to thick basically locked the diff but it did have enough give I didn't break anything like I did when running the solid locker. I replaced it with 500k it works %95 as well as having 1 000 000 when crawling and still have me good high speed handling. With 1 000 000 I couldn't turn worth a frack.

This is about the thickest I can find

You can usually find it at all your local hardware and big box stores.

I'm familiar with using both halves of JB Weld to make "spools", but which half do you use to make for a "limited-slip effect?

Does the poster tack just get ground up into little bits after some abuse?

The poster tack stays in one piece. After a few packs it its soft enough to still allow the dif gears to spin through it. It won't allow much diff action but it will act like a 1:1 limited slip with shimmed springs.

x2 also looking at different automotive greases will be your best bet to get over 500,000.

Remember not to over fill due to case pressure will cause leaks.
