HPI Savage

Hello,
First post here... Looking for a project truck any help?
HPI sells the Savage model but i looked and it seems like there are not many mods possible. Could i use axial and other companies parts to work on that truck or is that usually not possible

why not just get an SCX10. great base to make any project you want

All over that one thats what i pretty much concluded. SCX10 will be my first project!

Your making a good choice. One thing you want to avoid is spending up front for something that will never be what you want. I did just that. The piles of parts from build attempts before I found this site still haunt me. Just a suggestions to be friendly : I read xr10, berg, 2.2 scale build and wraith build threads every time I log on here. It's a good mix of comp and scale stuff. Find the stuff that interests you and build what makes you happy.

I have a 1:1 Toyota fj cruiser so I was thinking about a scaled version of that and do all the stuff to my scaled that I can't afford on the real rig. When I start I'll post a build thread!

Enjoy your build! Check out rc4wd for a potential body option. I think I've said the same thing to a few people to get them to understand why I love building trucks. Truth is , I don't know why I enjoy this so much. I just do
