1st crawler build RC4WD BULLY

Just got the new toy in the mail ordered the ARTR RC4WD BULLY. Liked the reviews of how the axles hold up and thought it'd be a good start with metal parts. Also bought Holmes hobbies 45t torque master pros, Holmes ESC with a cc BEC , RC4WD rocker dig & just a cheap servo from hobbyking for now and HB rovers.

Been on hear researching tons of stuff for ideas I'm open to any suggestions and are appreciated. I would look to switch to a body less chassis but unsure of what one i want. All the chassis i find that i like are discontinued . For now i fit a 1/16 erevo body to it and it looks half way decent just had to move the mount post and reem the body.
Well here is a pic and ill be looking forward to all your ideas thanks

If I were you I'd lower the hell out of it, as of now your way to top heavy. It won't side hill very well and will probably roll over more often then not. Keep reading and researching to give you some ideas. Good luck.."thumbsup"

Looks good, but a little high (as mentioned).

Read the "Bully specific" thread for ideas.

You WILL want more steering (easy free mod).
Lock-tite hardware
Always check the wheel nuts to make sure they stay tight

A 2.2 Bully was my 1st rig (still have it), very forgiving in that is won't really break.......ever......

I've just gone down the same route as you. I replaced the shock springs with 2.75" Losi golds, it will drop your height down and give you a better ride, or lots of people use Mini-t springs.

Heaps of awesome build threads in the Bully section, check out the sticky's to get you started there is a ton of info right there "thumbsup"

I'd really like to find a chassis that I can run with out a body. But I don't really want to run s carbon fiber one which is all I can seem to find for it. Also the rest of my goodies came in for it today do I can start the putting it together. And also i traded a TRAXXAS Stampede 4x4 today for a AX-10 with a bunch of goodies

Looks good you will know what to change as far as setup goes the more you drive it. The best way is to watch your truck flip and not make it up stuff so you know how to counteract those motions to allow it to. Have fun.

The Bully is looking good. Most people don't like the RTR chassis for a crawler, but they do work really well. You do have to spend some time when building the links, to get it right. I used one for Nacho and it really works good. You can search for the build in the Bully section of the forum. You can't wrong with a Bully "thumbsup". Peep the new Bully axles from RC4wd, they are really nice.

Re: 1st crawler build RC4WD BULLY

So far it's working well. My brand new holmes motors I bought I had issues with. Screws on the cap of the motors fell out on one motor and cap popped off and broke both the brushes. Other motor screws we're lose tried contacting holmes all I got was a email saying. (Sure send pics) and it's been a week now and nothing back from him. Very disappointed in his customer service thought I'd get a lot better service with how highly he is spoken of on here. Lesson learned I guess
