I used a 1 7/8 for the front and a 2" for the rear and works great

i used a 1-13/16 for the front i tried using a 1-7/8 and it seemed a little too tight for the back so i went to a 2" also in the back

i found that all replacing belts with o rings does is break things, go ahead and take the stock pullies and rough them up with sandpaper

Modifying the stock belts is a good idea. And of course it will keep the other things working properly as it did before. But the o-rings seem to be working to, as long as you do not overwelm the electronics with an o-ring thats too small. 1 7/8" is fine for the front and 2" is fine for the back. It will give you some extra grip but should still slip when it has to. But still, don't force the crawler if it won't go, thats never good :-(
