no

rigid, makes rigid light bars (1:1)
vp got permission/licensing to make a 1:10 replica.
vaterra did the same.

kind of like proline and axial both make licenced jeep bodies.

You guys may say other wise, but I like it. The caging and extra details they threw in that the MRC didnt have, looks good. Just wish it was a kit :P

Looks similar cage wise to a chassis a vendor is making for the mrc...

Well hopefully we might see the aftermarket parts / replacement parts start showing up again for the mini.
But they are following the trend right now and that is "scalers"

they didnt the same with the mini-T, they discontinued Mini-t to bring Ecx Smash with is the same car with just heres and theres, 2 years later they discontinued the smash, so.. I nop hoping the same path to this "slick rock" but just important to know... if this model dont make a hit on the market you can say good bye to it pretty soon.

Hi guys,
Thanks for the comments both good and rough . I just wanted to give a little insight on the Slickrock. For Horizon, the MRC has been a great product, though competition of these 1.9's has dwindled, the sales of the MRC has been pretty strong for us.
What we've seen is that the majority of buyers are first timers looking for something to mess around with in the house or when they go camping. We've also received feedback about the speed and ability to climb over obstacles is great for young first time users.

Being that it was time to refresh the MRC, we decided to move it to the Vaterra line which gave us a budget to add the Injection molded cage and other goodies. We waterproofed it, added the metal lockers, added the shorty 1/10th servo, licensed Swampers etc.

Overall we're happy with the improvements we've made for the beginners or first time crawlers. No it won't win any comps but I feel we've added some nice improvements on a popular seller that needed a refresh.

As for what you guys really want...trust me, we read the forums

Thanks again,
Rich

They aren't doing bad to be such a new company.
this time last year? Try early 2013.

Make a hardbodied 1/10 scale truck with axles narrow enough to allow tires to fit under it. A scale long travel Tacoma or Silverado with IFS = Yes.

Enough Jeeps: Yes
Enough Toyotas: Yes
Any Scouts: No...

International Scout II
Or.... Wait for it..... International Travelall.... Oh yeah baby. That would be hard bodied goodness!

If it were down to another Jeep or Yota, I'd have to go with an early Jeep Commando with a removable hard top.

may be just me, but if i wanted an mrc, i'd pick up an mrc used somewhere, not this. why not base the axle housing design on the TH rear housing, new tubes for the front, along with lcc/nc knuckles and new clockable c's (from the looks, the TH already uses a high arm lcc knuckle). then strip the TH trans of 2 speed functionality and make it a slightly smaller form factor. this slickrock just looks like a collection of parts that were sitting on the shelves that they had surplus. only good looking thing anywhere on this truck for me are the wheels.
