| Nuts and bolts...
Hi folks, I was looking at RTL's website for some nut and bolt kits to get for my new crawling addiction. I was going to get the Master Ass. for my planes, but now I am wondering if it would be good for the new addiction? If you guys could help me out by helping me decide which is what I should get for Axial and RC4WD applications. I am probably going to order a Master kit for my planes anyhow, seeing that they are 50% off till Sunday. Any help is appreciated. |

My recommendation will go to RCScrewz. I don't like rusted hardware. I'm on my 4th build using their screws and very satisfied.

Which 900 piece kit do you recommend for us as I'm only seeing 3mm screws and no 2mm

I would just get the wraith screw kit. I'm still debating myself about getting that 900pc. kit. I probably will when I have extra $$.

That would cost more than the kit from RCScrewz

Not so much for the planes but if you have a crawler and if you want it to look "scale" we offer a mix of stainless & finished steel hardware that replicates the look of 1:1 stuff: Scale Hardware We are always adding to that catalog but out 100+ piece kit will knock out most of the stuff on a Wraith: Scale Hex Bolts Kit MC Zinc You can see a lot of that installed on My Wraith about 16 posts in: Locked Up's Wraith I had a good bit left over as well. |

Locked up - how does the finish hold up to water and such on the MC zinc scale hex? These are on my list along with many other of your products.

Harley sells some nice HD hardware sets too! Only thing is you need to catch them while they are in stock. Great price too

The MCZ finish should be VERY durable. I do not have any concrete numbers or testing myself but a quick google search says some industry standard numbers of 20+ years in non industrial enviornments: ZINC & Galvanizing Like anything though ... if you try .... you can destroy it. | |
