I've seen sooooo many wide ass tires on 1:1 truck on the street lately. My only regret is not being able to get any decent pic's to post up for idea's.
So have I. They're called Mall Crawlers.

I really like the Mud Thrasher too. However I would steer away from trying to make it a Comp/Scale tire. Pick one or the other.

The only reason I say this is the memories of the first 2.2 Pitbulls. Awesome tire, but it kind of missed the mark with a lot of the scale crowd.

There is nothing currently on the market that is under a 2" wide width. I would love to see a smaller scale lug with the 1.5" width. All these wonderful KOH builds would look awsome with a tire like that!

We already have really good 1.9 tires!!!! Lets get a really good performing and good looking 2.2 out there!

Look at the lug size and tire dimentions in this thread, picture how they would look on a wraith!

I vote 2.2. The U4RC Trophy 2.2 class needs more tire choices, and that's what I want to build next!

I have several designs I'm working on and two of them are along the same lines as the Mud Thrasher and the Faulken tires. The Mud Thrash type lug pattern seams to be more scale looking imo.

I would lean towards smaller lugs than most of the 2.2s out there. The 1.9 RC4WD Gladiators have a good lug size ratio, IMO.

I agree 1.9 or 2.2 original MTR in a super sticky compound all the way!!

I think that is huge as well. So many of the scale tires have half the number of lugs in relation to their fullsize parents. Just doesn't pull the same look off.

The grapplers are not a popular off-road performance tire. You will not see many on the trails, they mainly just make a lot of noise as you drive them down the pavement.

For an offroad scalesque tire my dream tire in the 1:1 world was always a bogger with thornbird sidewall lugs. The old style bfg m/t would be a sweet option too. Or the new general grabber a/t it would be simple to design since it doesn't have 58493085 angles to cut into the molds.

EDIT: Oh and 2.2 of course.

What about Toyo Open Country M/T's?

I'd prefer 1.9 since that's what I run, in 4.5" range. However, they would look good in 2.2 as well.

so....should i be the first to suggest they be TSL Thornbirds....hahahahahaha, a contender for one of the worst offroad tires ever produced!

I personally would like to see a tire with a pattern similar to the Toyo MT/Old MTRs/Cooper STT tires. Or what about a Simex tire? (Too similar to a TSL pattern?)

I say Nitto or Toyo 2.2 size around 5.65 x1.7 ish... definitely on the more scale side.
