Default Ottsix Scale Tire 1.9 or 2.2

I've had many PM's and emails asking for either 1.9 or 2.2. As you all know, I want to give you what you want, but it's going to be one or the other; as the molds are very expensive. We have several tread patterns on the drawing board that we'll be using rapid prototyping to test...we just need to finalize the size.

Once we have this nailed down, the next poll will be for the actual dimensions of the tire, so start thinking about that.

Are you going with a unique one off tread pattern or going for something licensed?

It's going to be a unique pattern. I looked into licensing but all of the good tires are already taken. I have some good stuff in the works however

We have a good lug and size selection of 1.9 scale tires. I would like to see a 2.2 tire with 1.5x5.5 or 1.5x5.25 demensions. I really think we need a KOH style 2.2. There is nothing currently on the market that is under a 2" wide width. I would love to see a smaller scale lug with the 1.5" width. All these wonderful KOH builds would look awsome with a tire like that!

We already have really good 1.9 tires!!!! Lets get a really good performing and good looking 2.2 out there!

Look at the lug size and tire dimentions in this thread, picture how they would look on a wraith!
Pitbull Custom Comps!!!!!!!!

The tread pattern is important but it's the VEX compound that's really going to make this new tire shine.

Which ever size wins out, the other size will be made within the next year or two (or less)

So will this be a scale tire or more geared towards a comp tire? People have been wanting Red dot Rovers for a long time now. Something similar in pattern with your compound choices could be the ticket.

This is going to be a scale tire. Generally, there has been a movement away from lugged tires and toward pin designs so I doubt we'll be heading in that direction...but I never say never

I think 1.9 is used more often in scale builds. If you need any help testing, let me know, I'm close by.

2.2 Scale tire with better proportions. The 1.9 market has a lot of options, the 2.2 market needs some holes filled.
