Default Anyone have access to a mill?

Would like some custom parts made from Delrin or HDPE. I need "birdcages" for a dirt late model rear end. This is not crawler related. But, I figured someone could whip these parts up easily in their spare time. I'll supply materials and details. It helps if you know what I'm wanting to start off. But, I can explain in detail what I need and give most all dimensions.

I can compensate for your time if reasonable, I appreciate any help and would gladly do it if I had the machines to do it.

Your talking about the support type part for the rear axle correct? If so is delrin going to be strong enough?

Yes, what supports the rear end, all the swedge tubes attach to, springs/shocks as well.

As far as I know, and the way they're made it should be as long as certain parts aren't cut too thin. HDPE is probably just as strong.

I'd hate to make them out of aluminum though it could certainly be done. Just wouldn't want to pay or the block of aluminum to do it. But, it would probably be ok I think I have some 1x1 square stock I can get. But, figured ordering a few squares of Delrin or HDPE would be easier and lighter component wise for a 1/10 scale.

When I start the 1/4 scale car, I want those in aluminum. Lol, if I can get the same person to do those would be awesome.

Bird cages on late models is what the 4 bars(4 link) connect to on the rear end the let the chassis and rear end rotate . Some bird cages come with ball bearings in them for a smoother rotation and or less maintance. I would love to see someone pull off building a set of these . I raced dirt late models for about 5 yrs . I ran a GRT chassis for a couple yrs and them went to a Rocket

I really don't think it would be that hard with a decently talented mill worker.

Little sneak peek. Maybe some chassis porn will entice would be volunteers!

Perhaps there is someone I could message, or another forum or thread I could post in to get some help?
