| help with servo????
I have a scx10 I bought it rtr. I got wraith 2.2 stock tires msr10 droop shocks 35t integy motor. Anyways I ran the stock servo for a while then stripped the gears. So I got a hitec 5646wp servo ran good for awhile never got in any hard binds or took any big tumbles. I basically run it in my yard that has a few rock areas set up but mostly hill climbs... It did good for awhile then got really sluggish until it got kinda warmed up... So I ordered a savox 1268sg whick I've read the reviews from a million people and it seemed to be really good and be about the last one is have to buy for awhile. Well it came in, I installed it took it out drove it literally 5min rolled the truck on its side snapped the front drive shaft. Took it inside took the drive shaft off and now its acting just like the hitec. No tumbles no hard hits nothing. I'm at a loss and dont know anyone in the area that's into the hobby. I run a 4300 mah Nmih 6 cell battery. Please help...... Troy

I guess the first question would be...did you install an external BEC? Yes, you need an external BEC! |

CC BEC is your key. If anything is wrong with the hitec servo, don't hesitate to contact hitec. they have awesome CS service!

Awesome thanks guys. I have talked to hitec and my servo is on its way back but that may be due to my lack of knowledge in the hobby. I haven't found anyone in my area really into the hobby of scale crawling... But this has been a big help. Is one bec better than another for the scx10 or all the same? Well for a non outrageous price??

The standard in external BEC's is the Castle Creations 10A...should be around $20 or so.
