Default How to disassemble Xr10 front universals ?

I noticed that some people disassemble the Xr10 front universals, they grind some parts for greater steering angles and then rebuild the universals. I thought it was not possible without ruining them. I searched for a tutorial on how to operate but found nothing. Can you point me in the right direction ?

Thanks
Filippo

May need a small pin punch to drive out the cross pin (a small nail could work once the point if ground off, not the best though).
Support the universal when driving out the pin.
Some slide out easy, others are rather tight.

PS, asking in the XR-10 section would be best, but yes, the universals are similar to other universals s the same methods apply.

Take a piece of 2x4 and drill a small hole in it. Lay the universal over the hole so the small pin is aligned vertically. Using a punch and a hammer tap the small pin out of the universal.
