rc4wd ax2 VS R3 2speed transmissions

Im looking for pros and cons of each trans vs. each other. I want to build a KOH style rig and want to run a high power system in it so it needs to be able to handle the HP. Thanks in advance!

I'm running a holmes hobbies torquemonster outrunner 550 on 3s through my r3 and it seems to handle it just fine only thing I have noticed is you have to be at a stop to shift up or down. And the slipper sucks to I've got it cranked all the way down and it still slips.

Guess the no shifting on the fly thing is gonna kill the r3 for me. Hope the ax2 will handle shifting on the run.

Anybody with experience using the ax2?

If you are searching for the best scale looking the r3 is maybe the best looking tranny out of here.
Personally I got my ax2 seat on the shelf for the same purpouse as you, Build an ultra style with a 2 gear transmission.

Scale isn't super important. The r3 does look great but if I can't shift on the fly then it wont work for me in that kinda rig.

Let me know what ya think of the ax2 when you get it all set up.
