| Hands warm out on the trail?
Hey guys. With winter here, and my first crawler/scaler (SCX10), I'm having trouble keeping my hands warm on the trails! I wear gloves, and that helps, but the one finger that gets cold the fastest is my trigger finger...that finger gets really cold, really fast. So does anyone have any tips on keeping warm hands on the trails? I haven't been able to get too good of a run out of my SCX10 because of the darned cold.

Look at the dinky rc Trans mitten. Keeps your hand and transmitter covered. Nice and toasty. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk |

That looks pretty cool! But it says it does not fit Futaba 4 series transmitters...I have a 4PLS. |

I love my Dinky Transmitten! I often put one of those small disposable handwarmers in it. Works great. |

I have been using the zippo hand warmer - seems to work pretty well, not as hot as I would like - but re-usable and definitely warms the ice cubes off your hands on those longer scale runs. |

Go to your local online hunting outfitters, Cabelas, Bass Pro Shop, Dicks, Gander Mountain and look up hunting gloves. There are several that have the trigger finger made out of thin, warm material that fits in almost every trigger guard. Most are waterproof as well. I know I like mine. Ammo Troop |

get yourself a pair of under armour ridge reaper hunting gloves. they're about $30 and good to around 15 degrees. paired with the thinner glove liners and they're all you'll ever need.

Here's a tip, the warmer you keep your core the more blood your body will send to your hands/feet keeping them warmer, I go gloveless down to around 15-20* by keeping my core warm, but when I do have to wear gloves it's always wool, it's warm, light, retains heat even after absorbing 3x its weight in water and they are cheap at an army surplus store

| Re: Hands warm out on the trail? yes sir, your body will protect your organs first and fore most, so if your core is warm enough that your body isn't pulling blood from your extremities to keep your organs warm your hands and feet will be warmer. also just like mom's always say wear a hat lol, you lose lots of body heat through your head. I would try a warmer coat and a beanie before buying new gloves. just my $0.02 |
