The stock rims not beadlocks? or not 2.2? looks like you put rs10 rims on. I see shocks without springs on, are they inside or something? Overall, the things you did to it look pretty cool! Idk where to get plastic to make one of those battery trays :/ but I got a scroll saw and drill bits and a drill but after that, I don't got a lipo to fit, unless my 6cell stick style lipo will fit somewhere. Did you get yours off amazon? A link would be great. Are you trying to stress your maxtorque 10? right now I'm still sketchy about durability Connect Box W/Main Gear(38T) I cant tell if this connect box is plastic or not, but I think this is what people were tearing up The transmission looks very identical in the parts explode paper tho not sure about anything else XD The one other crawler that caught my eyes is the mad torque 1/8, but cant dig up much info. Edit: what are things you have done to your RS10's? Last edited by Higgins909; 02-07-2014 at 01:04 PM. | |

Wow....tons of questions. Not sure about long term durability, but as I said earlier, if it breaks I will buy the AX10 upgrade part. Trans included. Yes I am saying the Maxstone if you are looking for a fun crawler that is easily upgraded. I will say this is just MHO, from having the two rigs in question. The shocks are axial that I had in my parts bin with internal springs so as to not be in the way of steering. Plastic on top is the original battery/electronics tray cut in half and mounted upside down. Good eye on the wheels, those are off of the Cat. Lipo's are cheap, I will try to post a link but I have been buying them from Hobby King 1300mah 3s for about $12. Here are two cats and a bone stock AX10 that belongs to a friend. |

Cool, I think I will get a maxstone 10 when I can, if the cat was 540 motors and metal gears rtr, I'm sure I would go for that instead. Today I put my old Traxxas Scorpion 20t 540 motor back in my vintage but upgraded traxxas bandit, and that low end speed!!! same gearing, with that motor I can crawl motor doing 1rpm per few seconds thats how slow it could spin vs my sv3 4600kv, its got to spin several times faster for some reason. also it could have been my sv3 esc but for some reason there where no brakes, but I could put it into reverse when going forward Soon Im gunna head over to the motor forum. I have gotten several of my lipos from hobbyking, also have gotten some servos from there tho for a plane I was building, and a motor/esc props Thanks, Higgins909 |

turn the camera upside down when i click on a picture i want to download, my pc comes up with windows picture and fax viewer. if the picture is upside down you can rotate it right there and when you close the viewer the picture stays roteted. might work for you too www.nitrorcx sell the exceed the 1:10 mad gear and the 1:10 mad stone are shafties the 1:10 mad crawler is moa the 1:8 max stone and 1:8 mad torque are moas as welll as the 1:5 maxstone crawler the 1:16 is a shafty they have parts too but not the same quantity as redcat. i looked at these after i had my rs10 a while and decided that for the money and for the upgrades i wanted i was better off with a berg and now even though the bully2 is a bit steep it does come with the majority of the mods most people want from the bullys and bergs already included it is all in what you want out of the hobby also "different tools for different jobs" Last edited by cabron; 02-07-2014 at 07:58 PM. |

Here I am again XD did you get yours off amazon? Amazon.com : 1/10th Scale 2.4Ghz Exceed RC MaxStone 4WD Powerful Electric Remote Control Rock Crawler 100% RTR : Hobby Rc Crawlers : Toys & Games I would like to get the latest model of it. You still haven't broken anything on it? what all have you done in upgrades to it? -electronics I'm really scared of the possible plastic connect box, in the diffs. Really if you haven't broken it, thatd be very surprising. Thanks again, Higgins909 |

That is the one I have. Nothing broken yet (10" of snow) can't play in the rocks. No electronics upgraded other than motor and a lipo alarm that plugs into the balance port and is good for 2s or 3s. I have changed to bent links ( home made), filled both axles with dielectric grease, jb weld and nails in hollow male part of driveshafts, ground off all axle guard mounting posts on bottom side of axle housings and epoxied shut the holes. I would very much recommend getting everything off of the top plate and as low as possible in the chassis or on the links or axle housings. Must do tires. I hope I break something soon so I can say I'm using it to full potential. Best of luck!

Just went through this search recently and It boiled down to Exceed trucks and the Redcat. I chose a redcat for my son for the sheer fact that there is tons of more information and parts available. Servo upgrades are a must (I went cheap with towerpro mg995) and cut threads on stock wheels and this thing has impressed me and my son quite a bit. |
