Default Vanquish Products knuckles axles chubs lockouts

Hi, i was basically wanting to know what the best options were if i was wanting to go vanguish products axles, knuckles, lockouts and chubs. Will i be able to get these for my scx10 without modifying anything or any other new parts? Also as another option which im pretty sure would work, would be the aluminum chubs lockouts and knuckles from axial and just keep the stock axles. any ideas?

Cheers, Hammer

I haven't been impressed with axial C hubs and knuckles. I much prefer VP's parts since they are a better design than the factory stuff not just an alloy copy.

Personally I always recommend doing the XR conversion and using VP's parts with axial universal shafts. Saves some money, allows for more steering and adds just a bit of width to the axle so the tires clear the links and shocks.

Which axial parts? The xr axles? They fit the xr or wraith knuckles and C hubs without issue.

How to do the narrow XR10 mod to Axial axles

Don't waste your money on axial parts. They are the same cash as VP and not as good in my opinion. VP offeres 8* knuckles and C hubs but axial doesn't and VP has tighter tolerances than axial in my experience. Axial stuff feels and looks just like STRC or Hot Racing yet costs twice as much as they do.

I like to build my own links for steering and suspension. It's easy, cheap and exactly what I need every time. I have found some alloy links from traxxas that are meant to be revo push rods for the suspension. Cheap and nice enough for my needs.

it says o the part description for the axial rear lockouts that it requires the straight axial but i wasnt sure whether that applies to the scx10 or the ax10 as the rear lockouts are designed for both.

Yea probably just a bit longer, I'd imagine around 1/2" or so.

Ok now I'm following you. On the first generation ax10's they had dog bone and cup axles just like the front and a different style of lock out. If you were converting from the old style to normal lock outs you needed to get a set of what are now standard issue straight axles. You won't need to buy anything extra.
