|  32p gearing ratio HELP
I can never figure out the correct math to calculate gearing ratios with 32p gearing. I know the equation for 48p gearing, but I am almost 100% certain that it only applies to 48p gears. I have searched multiple times.. Come up with some decent answers, then later on I find something that contradicts what I was using before. If someone could give me a simple equation for 32p gearing ratios, that would be awesome! If this has been asked before, sorry. I didn't search too hard, I figured I would have to dig a bit to find exactly what I needed.. Maybe not who knows. Thanks, Hittman |

Gearing math (Spur/Pinion) is independent of pitch. 48p 80 spur / 20 pinion = 4:1 32p 56 spur / 14 pinion = 4:1 If you could find a 80t 32p spur and a 20t pinion, it would still be 4:1. |
