| anybody get the newer hr tranny yet Hot Racing Axial AX10 Ridgecrest Steel Extended Outdrive Transmission SCP38HT03 | eBay Curious if anyone has gotten yet and/or has an honest review yet. I don't mind forking over $80 ish for a tranny that is already upgraded but I'm kinda on the fence with HR quality. The only other HR product I've used is a set of shocks that were meh at best |

I have the HR aluminum gears in my gen 1 AX10. I punish the hell out of it and they are just fine. |

I think I might have the aluminums in 1 of my other trannys but not 100% sure. Even if I buy a used tranny ($40ish), upgrade the internals ($25ish), and go with a 32p setup ($15-$20) Im still going to spend the same amount. Just didn't want to invest in an all HR tranny if the quality didn't exist when I can upgrade to a RRP type tranny for the same pricing range.

Hot racing makes a lot of stuff and we all run some of it. Their stuff is cheaper in price than the competition and usually as good. I wouldn't have a problem running this transmission in my 2.2s other than the weight is probably a little heavier than my carbon fiber berg transmission. Hope it helps Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk |

Thanx for the thoughts. I went with the stock Axial. Ive got RRP upgrades on order so it will be bulletproof anyway. Stayed with the 48p setup as that's what I have spares for. If I went 32p I would have had to start stocking different sets of gearing and now I can just continue to interchange everything.

That's a Great price for a complete trans in aluminum and steel. And another company making long outputs. Thanks for posting this info, because to me, it's the death nail for C.I. outputs. Time to move on and design something new for non crawler companies to copy. Sent from the lab @ the CI compound |
