Default crawling vs climbing-discussion

I see a bunch of crawlers that are built for what I think is true crawling, and I see others that are built for what appear to be pure climbing. Climbers and crawlers have some things in common, but crawling entails high clearance, and crawling entails low center of gravity. The climbers do somewhat poor on crawling due to high centering. The crawlers can't climb nearly as well as the climbers due to high center of gravity. Climbing builds seem to be a good compromise. Crawlers simply can't make a climb if their cg is too high.

Any others notice this difference in the builds on here? Any comments?

I make this thread because I see a lot of builds that couldn't make some of the climbs that I've seen at comps.

Comp crawlers and scale crawlers. Comp crawlers are more for doing comps that have a lot of climbing and other steep stuff. Scalers are more for scale looks. They might not be the best performers, but they look a lot like a real truck.

Im not talking about anything that has a scale look. Im talking about all the builds that looks like great crawlers but have cg too high to compete in the comps that I have seen. Lots of them look to be too tall to scale the angles that I see at comps.

Some example pics would be nice. There are some jacked up builds on here but there's also some "outside the box" designs that work well.
