Default Personal rock course

Got a small pile of rock delivered yesterday, I'll get some more pics as we get some of it moved.

Just out of curiosity, how much did it cost you, per load, for the rocks? I've gotten all my rocks for free, but I've had to hall them myself, so I'd like to hear how much people are paying for them. Thanks.

That's no small pile of rocks! Trying to find some industrial grade rocks that are not too sharp but not round and smooth. Salt and pepper granite is commonly used here in SC for ditches and looks nice and is natural mountain rock in the Eastern US. If it's decorative class, it will cost and arm and a leg. I need to go by a sewer or paving supply and see if they'll let me buy a small amount. I have lots of marble just in my yard. It's natural to the area here in central SC, but it's all way too jagged. The cars will get hung up and bodies really damaged on roll overs cause it's so sharp. I can use some of it, but it's just no good. I want to build a trail along my entire back yard that looks nice and has dirt sections, logs, rocks and pebbles. Maybe even some small trees and a bridge! Pity in the fall it will be covered in leaves and those stay till I can find someone to clean it up. Last time I did it I hired a helper and it took 2 men 2 days and maybe 150 garbage bags.

I had a connection with the local rock pit so it was 200 for two dump truck loads. It started raining about half hour after that picture and hasn't stopped since. I can't wait for some nice weather to try to out.

Wow. Not bad. Delivery alone isn't much less than that.

Tappa who?

Dude. Get creative with a big tarp and ropes and make your own circus tent back there. I put a 10x10 canopy over my backyard course and it works great in the rain.

The River Service at the local Port on the Mighty Mississip here in NE Louisiana has limestone rip-rap for $28/ton and you haul it. I hand pick the rocks I want. Have 2500 pounds (15'x 4') on a 20' x 10' covered, screened slab/front porch. Set up for comp style crawling. Now that the weather is better, gonna get some more rocks.

Thanks for the compliments guys, we put in some sweat moving those rocks haha. The weather cleared up for a few hours and I was able to get some time this morning, but no video yet. Anyone in the PNW hit me up if your coming to the beach.
