Default Looking for a ~4.5" long shock comparable to a powerstroke....

As says, looking for something to replace slash rear shocks, with just a tad more travel. Something ~4.5" center eye length. Must be metal, threaded body, bonus if I can reuse my dual rate PL springs on them.

Still consider myself a newb, not even sure where to begin. Very happy with the prolines, just need a tad more travel, & google hasn't net me any results. All help appreciated.

These are great shocks 4.33 eye to eye. your PL springs would work too. These are just as good quality as the proline slash shocks in my opinion, such as no leaks, smooth.

I actually looked at those, but the "slash rear" threw me, & I wrote it off to being the same as what I have. I could live with a tad longer, but does meet my min. col. length needs.

Thanks

U want more travel? Or higher stance, because a taller shocker is going to make the tire travel down farther and probably not have as much compression. have u taken the shock off and tested what the extra extension will do to your driveline angles?
If the chassis can't bottom out, u will have some extreme new stresses on your shocks and towers. I tried playing with diff shocks all around, I suggest just upgrading to the alum big bores all around. Save your $ in the long run. I replaced several shock rods that got bent from the extra stress they took from the chassis not bottoming out before the shock!

Answers above.

Not sure what you mean on that last bit, but this is on a custom tuber already running Powerstrokes. Need a little but longer shock to keep steering out of chassis, & need a slight boost to ride height. I could just run a slightly longer rod end to get it done, but would also like to increase travel a little on that end of the truck. Basically figuring a 1/2" overall longer shock will net me ~1/4" longer travel.
