Default Gearing help

I have a novak 380 18.5 brushless system for my mrc. I'm trying to figure out what gearing I should run. I have a 66t and a 60t spur and every pinion form 11-15t. I tried getting the 11t on with the 66t spur and it's really tight. Can I run the 11t or 12t with the 60t or would that be to high of a gearing? I'm asking because I burned up my last brushed motor with 12/60 gearing.
