Giveaway Guidelines

A lot of our great vendors here on the site have been giving away some really sweet prizes, and we thank them for that, it really helps support the site in a great way. With these giveaways we have serveral rules, and in seeing so many recent giveaways it I have become aware that many people do not understand the rules.

Rule #1

You must be a SUPPORTing member of the site to be elgible for any of the giveaways. If you are not a supporting member of the site do not bother posting in the giveaway threads, it'll just get deleted.

We have several different levels of a supporting member, any of them will work fine to enter into the giveaways. Click here to learn about becoming a supporting member.

If you've spent anytime here you really can't tell me that this place isn't worth a nickle a day even just in entertainment value;)

Rule #2
Only post one time, no need to enter a giveaway more than once, the mods will just delete it. Some giveaways last an entire month, so you may not remember if you have already posted in it. When looking at the thread you can click the number in the replies section and it lists everyones name that has replied to that thread, if your name is on there don't bother posting again.

The number you need to click on is circled in red.

Rule #3
Pay attention to what the company giving away the prize requests. If they just say to post up, then fine. If they are asking for feedback on something, please give them feedback. If they want you to post a picture of something please do so.

All in al it really isn't that hard to win some very great prizes, please follow the rules and make it easy for the moderators to do their jobs.

Thanks and good luck!
Jason

Another way to see if you posted is to just look on the left side of that post. If you see an arrow ,like in the below attachment, then you have replied

How many people do you want to guess that myself or one of the mods are going to need directions to find this thread so they can read the directions of the directions:?:

I think he forgot to type the words,"Im an idiot" after YESSSSSS!!!

Robb 11-26-2006 12:28 AM

I noticed that earlier. It seems like the vendor missed the point of the giveaways, and only stipulated "registered members." According to the rules of the original post, the giveaway is open to all members, not just star-holding members. Granted, the "yesssssssss" dude should be banned for complete dumbassness, but everyone else has followed the rules of the thread........................although, not the general rules of giveaways.

It reads "RCC supporting member" which to me implied "star holding", but I can see how it could be unclear.

I guess it's time for me to bump this thread again. I recently cleared up a couple giveaway threads that each had a bunch of people posting several times, oddly enough several of the people posted several times in each thread.

This doesn't help your chances any, if fact it kills your chances because if you double or triple or in some cases quadruple post we just go in and delete all your posts in that thread.

dumb question from a dumb guy: do the vendors PM you when you win a givaway or do you have to check the thread after the giveaway date?

Usmc8541 10-08-2007 10:19 PM

Most of the time they will. But it should be your responsibility.

SIRMAXXALOT 10-09-2007 12:51 AM

Thank you for pointing out the ways to see if you posted in the giveaways, I honestly did not know the two ways explained and I don't think I have ever double posted and if I have I apologize, I have been tryin to save all the giveaway's in my subscribed threads but some of the giveaways are doubled up and confuse me so I go through every post to make sure I haven't post which you extremely helpful tips are great. I also want to ad that if I CAN'T USE IT I DON'T ENTER IT!

Thank you to the mods and vendors for these great items!

BTW: the only prize I won so far was for my star (and will be renewing it!!!!)
THANK YOU AGAIN Unholy

My opinion

I think we should have a special forum just for giveaways and the vendor should PM the winner!

moonweed 11-21-2007 01:49 AM

Sticky this? :)
