custom cage Im looking to build a custom chassis in the near future, what benders are everyone using to build theirs with? Are you using 3/8" solid rod? Or what size? |
Re: custom cage Harbor freight has a nice one for the money and solid 3/16 seems to be the common size but I'll only run tubing. I don't build frames but the guys I work with say tubing is as strong as solid (except in bumper areas) |
Re: custom cage I use a tubing bender from napa. try this button,it will help you out. http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/search.php |
Re: custom cage Stevie Wonder is in charge of the rcc search. Use google and add rccrawler.com to whatever you're looking for. |
Re: custom cage Actually, add "site:rccrawler.com". That will ensure that you only get results from this site. |

Re: custom cage I was using the search feature on here last night and it is not as good as it used to be. Trying to search for two word searches and it wasn't helpful. Using "" around the words searched did not change the results. Thanks for the suggestions about google! |
Re: custom cage Best bender I have found to date. Requires that it be held in a vice FYI: http://www.amazon.com/BAC-Industries...bac+rod+bender Here are several chassis design templates to make building a chassis much easier as well. Free Chassis Design Templates | Harley Designs |
