Default wireless winch

hey guys, im on rc4wd looking at their warn wireless winch setup. does this require you to have a 3-channel radio or does it eliminate the need for one? I have the stock gear in my SCX10 Deadbolt and it already has the 3-channel reciever, just not the radio. it is only 2-channel. i already have the rc4wd warn winch installed its just not hooked up due to the 2-channel radio. Thanks!

^ you answered your own question

tho' having a 3 channel TX/RX offers many other advantages.
especially if considering finer tuning/adjustment capabilities.

In order for a 3 ch TX/RX to control winch switching/spooling...
Ch 3 will need have a 3 position switch that will allow for in/stall/out spooling.
And a HeyOk or similar controller.

Many TX models do not comply with this feature...
so if selecting a 3 ch TX for winching purposes...
be sure it has a 3 position control switch on the TX.

I have the RC4WD Warn 9.5 W/wireless
I like it and it works for my needs.
The only real drawback...
is remembering to bring the wireless FOB

I suggest that FOB be velcro'd or double sticky taped
to the TX... so it's not left at home.
