Default super 300hd question

ik so I got a set of super 300hd's for a wraith that someone has shaved the long side locker tang, so long story short its too short to get proper locker engagement and strips lockers. do you guys think I could have a sleeve machined then have it tig welded with compromising too much integrity?

They are heat treated so you will loose that unless you retreat. That said, you have nothing to loose, go for it. Mig or tig, tig preferably. Then quench in oil and you will gain some back. I dont think I would braze it as that would really heat soak the part.
