Default How do you mount your camera on crawler?

I'm curious how anyone mounts their GoPro or whatever camera you use for video. Pics would be appreciated.

Is video stable where it is mounted?

I have the clamp on camera bracket for my GoPro but to me it's just adding more weight towards the rear.

here's what I came up with @ 3-4 years ago. still have it - been wanting to tweak on it but have gotten annoyed at video editing time and storage space.

fyi - youtube "anti shake' editor messed this video all up.

Daniels Park,...I'll have to check that location out one day. I'm fairly still new to CO....Im in Arvada.

But playback looks pretty stable and I like how you can rotate the arm to different camera angles.
When it's up high, do you tend to do rear wheel stands while climbing?....The view looks great from up high though.

Daniels park is off the chain awesome! I25 south to castle pines parkway. Head west @ 3 miles. Youll run right into it.

The go pro isnt that lite. The rig tends to lean in the direction of the camera.

I actually thought video clarity and sound was decent...., it's only on youtube anyways.
One of the shadows from your crawler reminded me of the vehicle used by Google for capturing the street view on maps.

I'd like to try and get a better view than this......this is the only view I can achieve the way I have it mounted, but it still even shows part of the clamp on mount towards bottom of frame....I rather it not show any camera mount but seems like Im limited to where I can mount it from.

I've tried using a small camera fastened with sticky goo.
First mounted on the hood and then mounted on the steering servo.

Try some different settings with your gopro to eliminate the cam mount in view.

This is a mount for a through the windshield view. Camera is a Kodak Play-Sport and the mount is a simple camera mount found on eBay.
