New redcat racing Everest-10 Does anyone have any info on this new crawler from redcat? looking at it has alot in common with the ax-10 which is a good thing, lol but if anyone does let me know? Not a bad price for $129 shipped and it's a 1/10 scale...Thanks Terry |
Re: New redcat racing Everest-10 This doesn't look too bad! It does remind me of a Axial AX10 Scorpion more than my Exceed RC Maxstone 10 does, because of the battery mount is more similar to the Axial than the Exceed. Although personally I would still go with the Exceed Maxstone 10 over this, because I am certain many AX10 parts fit on it, and this I am not positive about. I am very curious to see how good of a rig this is though. Long story short, this is NOT made by HSP as their OEM like I thought it was; it looks like it's a different design. But if you are looking for a first crawler, I do have a review of the Maxstone 10 if you are interested. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QlMrONP8KiU |
Re: New redcat racing Everest-10 Looking at buying one and possibly the exceed or a drifter aint made up my mind on that yet. Ill post pics here if i get one |
Re: New redcat racing Everest-10 4 Attachment(s) We've been talking about this truck on the Redcat Rs-10 forum, check it out!, I really like mine, it seems very tough, but not quite as capable as my Bully comp rig, but a great buy at $130......Didn't stay stock for long..... |
Re: New redcat racing Everest-10 http:// http://rs1065.pbsrc.com/albu...45.jpg~320x480I really like the mods you have made to it .... I've done similar mods to mine .... The first thing I did when I took it out of the box was do a scale tube chassis swap |
Re: New redcat racing Everest-10 Just to clear things up there are several companies selling the same platform with minor changes such as battery tray design and different electronics. The HSP Pangolin, Redcat Everest, and Exceed Maxstone 10 rigs are The same chassis, axles, trans, etc. biggest differences are color and body type. I have a couple and really good platforms to start building from if budget is a concern. They hold up well and many Axial parts will fit as upgrades. |

Re: New redcat racing Everest-10 It would be good for a beginner, but you will wind up spending more on it to keep it going than you would if you just bought a wraith or something. It can be very capable though. |
