You guys keep talking about axle wrap?????????? I went back and double checked, there's no mention of leaf springs in this entire thread. Where are you getting axle wrap with a linked up axle? Shouldn't have any at all

In my pics it looked like I had it with only two links, when in fact there was three (one was just not visible). With only two links and the watts link it would have crazy bad axle wrap.

*edit*
I know that having three links will stop any axle wrap, I was just explaining why they thought my model would have axle wrap
*edit*

Well,if all you have is 2 lower links, yes,it'll have axle wrap You have to have some kinda upper link. Pan hard, watts link, either one,all they are for is locating the axle laterally. The upper an lower links locate the axle for and aft.

My point was.....with any linked up axle......there should be ZERO wrap. Thats one of the benefits of going from leafs to links. Links get rid of the wrap you get with leaf springs.

Thats what I was talking about - all I saw in the original rendering was two lower links and the Watts setup as the upper, which would cause some axle wrap under power. But if there is a third upper link, then you'll be okay.

The only problem I can see is bump steer with a chassis mounted servo as the drag link will still move in an arc. Great for a non steering rear though

Nice, can you post up more pic's of the travel range? A short offroad video might be even better.

It takes up a good bit of room, too. You'd have a hell of a time getting a steering link in there.

No video til the snow melts. But here's some pics:

Full bump

Full droop

Articulation

Prettied up with an aluminum bracket replacing the previous mess. Moved the whole linkage up so the bracket won't snag on any rocks.

nice setup. but in the compressed position it looks like the long frame mount on the right side drops below the axle tube, which reduces clearance, and although the real life effect is probably minimal, isnt it slightly counterproductive? not degrading your work. its very creative and well built.

I fixed that with the new aluminum bracket. See last pic.
