Default Redcat Everest 16

Anybody have any experience with the 1/16 Everest? I saw one on display at the LHS and it caught my eye. Not sure what about it is but I kinda like it, are there any hop ups that work well on them. Kinda worried about run times with a small battery, can it take a bigger battery? Any help is appreciated thanks!

The Redcat 16 is very similar to the Maxstone 16 so you might want to do a search on that. I have heard that the Redcat has a high cog due to the battery placement so if you bought a higher mAh battery to increase run time you would probably want to reposition it. For what it's worth I have heard more good than bad about the Redcat 16.

in my opinion, save your money. Buying cheaper may be better at first but in the long run it will cost you more. An Axial Deadbolt in the AX10 or SCX10 platform is a great, reliable crawler.

Talking Re: Redcat Everest 16

I just bought one. The servo went out second time running it. but i was able to mount a 1/10 scale steering servo and ESC and the truck was way better. You can mod it for sure just need to do the research. i think it is a good truck for newbies if you want to learn how rock crawler works because you will want to mod it after a bit. I have only had mine for about a week and its already torn apart getting improvements. Awesome articulation. Check out the post Everest 16 build in progress. There is some more info there about the Everest 16 that might help. Love the truck for sure!
