Default metal gear servo, servo horn screws... M2, 4-40, M3???

im looking for a longer screw to go into the servo for my winch to hold the spool. the spool i made kinda looks like **** so i wanna make something cleaner. are the threads on those screws M2, M3 or 4-40? i believe theyre M2, but im not sure.

Depends on the servo from what I have found. Some of my servos take a 3mm screw, while others are smaller(2mm?).

Hitecs use a 2.4mm screw I believe, very odd size.

Its a jr something something 590... They come with the new DX3

how exactly do you turn a sevo into a winch? And exactly how does that work out in comp? Pics and a decent explain without the flaming please.

I guess you could use it in a comp,but the touch points would kill ya. Kindly defeats the purpose IMHO. They are pretty cool to have on a scaler though.

You could look for 1 of the bajillion threads about winches
