The RC4WD D44 page has just about all the info you need, including the bearing sizes you will need: http://store.rc4wd.com/Here-you-can-...es_p_3968.html With any axle, it's a good idea to keep shims of various sizes around so that you can get rid of slop when necessary. |

I haven't put together a set, so I couldn't tell you for certain. But I keep an assortment of various sizes and thicknesses (Associated makes as a set, as do a few others) so that I always have something on hand that will fit anywhere I might need.

This might be a dumb question but would it be stupid and/or tacky to run a rc4wd d44 front axle with a ssd diamond housing rear axle? If not would this combo work out from a mechanical aspect?

It's not a problem from a mechanical point of view as the axles gears can be installed either way in the SSD Diamond axle.

Would look weird imo. Only if SSD front axle was released...

Well I think ima just get the vanquish f9 axles. If only rpp could hurry and get the clear anodized rears in. They only have black anodized and the fronts for the clear anodized

| Re: Need help with d44 I got a set, but ima return em for rock jocks. They apparently aren't 3 link compatible unless you make some modifications which I'm helpless with. If anyone wants a set, pm me and I can update you with shipping as rpp will have 1 set of front and rear back in stock soon and I assume those will go as soon as they land

They will have a 3 link just not yet. Didn't come right away for rock jocks either.

*loll rpp is so damn efficient, by the time I saw that there was a jk panhard mount (which I ordered) and a Currie 3 link conversion from vanquish, call them and figure out what's what. Discover the 3 link mount situation and call rpp to make the switch over to rock jocks. They had boxed and shipped my order out in less then like 2 hours. Luckily they agreed to make a switch. Great customer service and shipping. Sometimes tho I swear they too damn efficient and can't make a change to a minor mistake or even make an addition to catch the same box and save on shipping. Hahaha guess I shouldnt complain, efficient is so much better then slow, sloppy, lack of communication or service. They make me wanna give them my money cuz they never leave me feeling cheated or duped (except when they outta stock!!) loll thin line between love n hate for real Last edited by wsmb; 11-19-2015 at 10:29 AM. | |

Definitely need bearings, and a standard Wraith axle bearing set won't cut it. The end bearings for the rear tubes are the smaller ones than what axial uses. The pieces do come with the assembly screws needed for them. Running a set of D44's on my goat build. Haven't thrashed it much yet, but I'm pretty happy with how they work. |
