| Scx Diff input shaft bushing instead of bearing
I was wondering why people use a bushing on the scx-10 input shaft on the diff. I have been noticing it more and more......Thanks

They don't grenade like the bearings can under big power or full throttle assaults when landing off a flight. Bushing do require periodic replacement as they are a item that wears out

...they also impart wear on the input shaft, so it will need periodic replacement too.

I tried the bushings one time, and was not impressed. After one long day on the trails they had a ton of slop.

| Re: Scx Diff input shaft bushing instead of bearing In an off-road RC environment is doesn't take long to wear the bushing or pinion shaft to the point they should be replaced. I've seen front/rear steel axles and aluminum steering posts on buggies and stadium trucks get ruined in a day driving in the dust pit we had to drive in. Fine sand can eat through them pretty quick too.

| Re: Scx Diff input shaft bushing instead of bearing I used the traxxas bushings. I still have a bunch of them in the toolbox that I will probably never use.

I have sold a TON of Wraith axles with my upgraded 13mm bearing (instead of 11mm) and had very, very good success. I also sell the AX/SCX housings with the same mod and have had zero failures that I know of. Check them out. I think you will be amazed at the difference they make. https://dluxfab.ecwid.com/#!/Modifie...egory=12405706 Last edited by Erik D_lux; 11-23-2015 at 07:30 AM. |
