Default larger scale axles how come?

was wondering how come no one makes a larger axle housings that is scale looking that uses some thing like the mad force axle internals but in a xr width or wraith width for the 2.2 trucks. alot of people seem to have the same issues with bearings, gears and shafts not taking the punishment it seems to me it would make since to just make them with larger internals to cope

i understand it might be a little off but if it had axial gears with larger bearings and if the tubes just cleared the larger universals shafts it would look scale enough some thing like the dlux 1808 axles

There are solutions to this issue, but costing and ease of manufacturing kill it for large manufacturers.

Have you seen the VP housings that are readily available? Doesn't get much more scale than that.

that was kinda my point there are very little axle housings that are tuff on a budget and parts readily available the vanquish housings are sweet dont get me wrong but bye the time ther fitted out with parts to make them complete there up on 600 dollars as for the 1808 axles they seem to fit the bill except every thing is custom and that is reflected in the price

"The best" and "budget" are usually mutually exclusive. There is the "best budget part (which company uses the most durable pot-metal)," but the "best" part is never the most budget friendly.

Bearings because people are too cheap to change them.
Gears because people dont check the mesh.
Shafts because people wanna run a high kv brushless.
Above 3 because people are too cheap to replace the $11 housing.
10th scale because the companies have convinced crawlers to play with smaller trucks that give the highest profit margin.

That being said I have broken 3 rear shafts, 3 front shafts, wore out 2 front shaft sets, wore out rtr gearsets, spun a couple lockers, and I dont think they are weak. Then again I run the dlux big bearing housings.

that is true what your saying ive broken quit a bit of stuff myself scx10 and wraith axle rear axle shafts and quiet a few hd version from other companies, front cvds and dog bones hd lockers, transmissions had the vp scx10 and wraith housings also and used fast eddy bearings or boca. only run 2s on traxxas vxl velenion. gets a little annoying breaking all this stuff in a 3 year period when i never broke anything with the kyosho rock force. im not very rough on my cars i have a slash 4x4 for bashing i have some mechanical sympathy used to race buggys and touring cars so used to setting up and shimming

I think there are plenty of housings that are tough on most budgets...
... as in "With your budget you can't afford them. Tough for you!"...
