| Steering trim question
SCX10 I just finished building my very first kit, Jeep Wrangler G6 and it works really nice except I have to set my trim all the way to the right on my Dx4s transmitter to get it to drive straight. Will this hurt anything? If so how do I correct the problem/s? Thanks Sent from my Nexus 10 using Tapatalk |

did you make sure your servo horn was put on for center with the servo powered up?

Disconnect your servo horn. Center the steering trim and power up the servo so its centered. Then, with the wheels straight, attach the servo horn. Now fine tune the trim if necessary.

I used one of the electronic auto centering tools and it centered it for me, but on the 25 tooth servo your always a tooth off one way or the other correct? Would that affect steering that much? Sent from my Nexus 10 using Tapatalk Last edited by Fintobean; 11-03-2015 at 09:35 PM. |

set your steering trim back to 0. Then use your sub trim to make the servo horn 90 degrees to the servo. Then adjust your drag link(the link from your servo to your steering knuckle) so that that tire is pointed straight forward. Then adjust your tie rod( the link that connects the two steering knuckles) so that the other tire is pointed straight forward. very little steering trim should be necessary if this is done right.

The tip by IronSavage for centering the servo by using subtrim is great. That puzzled me when the directions called for "centering" the servo using the transmitter.
