At full droop, I have designed this to run at full compresion since it will be hauling a 4-5' trailer eventially. In other words all articulation happens at droop. I have been wanting to try this type of suspension for a while and figure since this is not a comp rig I could see first hand how well or poorly it will perform.

manditory flex-----this is just a little less than 1/2 of its ability to articulate. I will play with limiting it as needed. What is amazing is that it will not tip over at full flex which is roughly 85*,suprized me because I thougt it would be really top heavy. I guess putting that nylint battery in the cradle is good ballast.

The other nice thing about the droop set up is it allows me to run the body fairly low with out having to trim the fenders to alleaviate any rubbing since all the artic happens at droop.

I will update with the trailer as soon as I get around to building it. Say good bye to packing my sh!t down to the comps. I will be driving it all to the spotClick the image to open in full size.

that looks great! i think that if you lower the body it might be a little more scale looking. that frame is solid to, you did a great job.

I didnt want to have to cut up the stock body, that is one of the reasons that I did a droop suspension, with this design the tires rise very little from there original points. All that has to be considered is the angles when its steers. also drooped it so that when the trailer is connected it wont sag in the rear.

I think once the trailer is behind it, it will appear to be in proportion, time will tell.

supporting the LHS. if you cant read it it says remote control hobbies (RCH)

I took some mesurements and the trailer will be 14.5 wide and 52 long plus hitch.Overall hieght when loaded will be around 20" so it will be about 4 inches taller than the hualer. I am thinking of a tire rack up front for the super tires, with a tool box under that. 2 tire racks under the trailer frame for the 2.2 tires and another tool box under there also.

The 2.2 comp rig will sit under the upper forward tire rack partially then a ramp that leads up to the trailing edge of the rack with a small flat area for the supers front tires to rest on, then the scaler behind the super.

Should be a full load, might have to get an oversize load permit Click the image to open in full size.

I started on the trailer tonight, changed my mind on the design style and material. I made it entirly out of aluminium. I still need to build the tongue,it will be built out of steel. I also have to mount the axles and tires. I am using the stock CXT tires but I think I will end up putting my spare super tires under there. That way they will be with me at the comps if needed

How can it be scale? Theres no driveshafts The chassis is also not real close to scale looking.

As soon as they build a truck with a motor on the axles and eliminate trannies and driveshafts........THEN,this or any other Clod MIGHT be able to be used for a scale build.

It's a nice build,I'm not taking anything away from it. It would be crazy though to consider it close to scale

I somewhat agree, but thats not my decision to make. His build, the frame is actually scale looking,he made driveshafts for looks and alot of other details that add scaleness(is that a word)

Even at that,I agree,a scale build needs working axles, working driveshafts, working tranny and so on. Any type of Clod,Nylint or simular axles should be booted out of the scale forum. I'm not dogging those builds at all, theres some good work put into those, but IMHO,they are not scale

Loaded the mini baja in the bed

I am still trying to locate some tool boxs for the trailer rails and also am looking for a toy quad so I can morph the mini baja into a quad.
I will add the landing gear for ther trailer soon along with tie downs on the flat bed for the crawlers.
