I order all of my fasteners from McMaster. You can't argue with $5 for 100 in whatever grade, size or style you want.

Since we're on the subject, I order all of my fasteners from http://www.use-enco.com . I've found that they're cheaper than McMastersCarr on just about everything. Or, everything that I've ever needed anyway.

I hate those tamiya nuts. They are all over the TLT. Lock nuts are so much better. I couldn't get the tamiya nuts to stay on, I had to use locktite, and then I couldn't get them off.

use-enco, I will have to look into them for my hardware purchasing needs.

And yes, its ridiculous how much 3mm hardware is at hardware shops. Its like $.20 more per screw compared to 4-40 and other english screws!

Yup...the only way to get regular nuts to stay on is to use loctite and then its a PITA to get them off. Nylock nuts are great, they never come loose and its much easier to remove them.

I buy 3mm nylocs at my local bolt supplier for about $3/100.

I like the flanged nuts for chassis work. I 'll take any spares you don't want :-)

That's funny, cause that's where I get my 3mm stuff. They got all the cap screws and such, but for some reason they don't carry the nuts though.

Jay, where's that local supplier at? I'll get the 3mm lock nuts from them so I don't have to pay shipping from two online vendors.
