I have access to a Cnc machine and am planning on fabbing out some wheel extensions for my Tlt crawler. My question is, since I can do the size to my own likings, is there any benefits of a 2.2 over maxx/savage sized rims? My crawler is 15" axle to axle, so I though that a Maxx/Savage sized rim and tire might be a little more scale looking. What would you guys suggest?

The TLT axles maybe hard pressed to survive some of the larger maxx sized wheel/tire combos.

Narrowing would help, but the leverage from taller tires is what would be the killer.

I would not put anything bigger then a 2.2 rim/tire onto a TLT. The wheelie king frmo HPI might be able to hold up to larger wheels though.

Even the taller 2.2 Redrock tires add a lot of strain to these axles. You can put bigger tires and wheels on, but you better have spare parts on hand.
