| Cross RC PG4L 1/10 4WD 2-Speed Pick Up Truck
Just came across this on facebook, and was wondering if anyone knew any more about it? It looks pretty badass and I've seen a couple of the cross 8x8s around here. I've tried searching here and google with not much coming up. I might not have started my custom build if I had seen this before... The only listing is on Stella Models here; CROSS-RC PG4L 1/10 4WD 2-Speed Pick Up Truck Also a website here; CROSS-RC.COM I wish there was a licensed body, but hey you can't get everything. Especially at that price, I think it is a pretty good deal, without know many specifics or knowing much about quality. What do you think? |

Love the concept, unfortantley, the cab looks proportionally incorrect. How could the designer let it be made like that? Lol not lol.

Think this will be the next kit I pull the trigger on. Although they make a few other trucks as well; CROSS-RC.COM

I have never heard of them before but I really like some of there models, definitely on the future list. I did some searching and found a few build threads and couldn't find any one saying anything but good things about them. They look like good quality. I can't believe they aren't that popular but that could just be the crowd and lack of easily attainable aftermarket parts. I see a 6x6 in my future!

The dualie is fugly, and not in a good way. Maybe it's a body swap away from a decent tow rig? Why, oh why, did you have to post the cab over. Now I want one. |

The more I look at the GC4, the more I lean that way. I've been looking all over the place and it looks like these will both be available mid Feburary. The StellaModels link has the pickup listed at $418 so I hope the cab over would be about the same. Oh and I went through Szczerba's MC6 build and it looks like thay have addressed the ring/pinion bearing issue at least on the cab over. Hey, at least they have a ton of pictures to drool over in the meantime. Last edited by kstowe; 01-19-2016 at 05:11 PM. |

I've looked high and low and found one other vendor, out of Germany. They seem to speak English pretty well, judging by their Facebook. They're called Lili-Modellbau, here is their site (all in German, but Google Chrome will translate); Lili-Modellbau - Index I know how you feel bud, I'm in the middle of this one as well. With a body swap I think that would be a sweet rig, I love the dual wheels and leaf rear with link front. Not crazy bout the price but only cause I don't know anything about the company making them. If they are well made then it is worth it.

There were a few issues with the kit but they have since fixed them. Personally, the combination of unique trucks, scale realism and mostly durable parts has me sold on the company. Just note that I assume that I will not be running G6 events with them or hardcore crawling. I may pick up one of their new models as well. Szczerba's MC6 6x6 ...

Building one right now. PG4L Metal 2 speed trans. Take of the motor access plate and grease it, as it's almost dry from the factory. Factory shocks seems weak. Rear leafs are a plastic/metal combo, and look cool as all get out. Seem to perform ok, too. Some of the holes in the chassis "extensions" are not drilled to the correct diameter. Same style wheels as the RC4WD "wagons." Royal PITA to assemble. Cool rear axle extensions/adapters for the rear duals. LOTS of metal parts. Hard body. Lights, buckets, mirrors, exhaust....all included in the kit. Some of the chassis cross braces need to be cut (as per the instructions) in order to fit. Radio box didn't have holes in the correct spot for mounting. It also doesn't have a "pass thru" for the wires. The saga will continue this weekend... (copied from another post, below...) Anyone know or have experience with Cross RC? |

It's a crawler. It's more crawler than scale. And it doesn't do all that bad on the trail. |
