I am sure this has been asked before but I need to know. What radio's are you using for your front dig set-ups. I do not want to use the TQ3. I looked on tower and some of the radios have a push button 3rd. ch. and some say the 3rd ch. is "Shift or linear dual mode third channel". What do I need? Thanks for any help, Brian

Any radio that has a third channel that can shift will work, one with end points is a good idea for setting up a dig.

I use a JR XR3 (old model). The DX3 (not the 3.0) works much the same way, but it is a spectrum radio.

you need to do a mod to have the left gimbal self center or you can just go through horizon or your LHS, and order it that way The mod takes about an hour or less to do

Are there any differences between planes and surface controlers? I thought I read somewhere there was.

I just bought a new radio and had to have it made so that one of the sticks self centered. The part cost one pound fifty which is about 3 dollars and took about 3 minutes from start to finish. All it envolved was inserting a spring and removing a small plastic "catch" The controller I use can be used for aircraft. The difference is that in the UK the aircraft run on 35 mhz and the cars run on 40 mhz. The transmitter I am using is set for 40mhz so it is ok. If you use an aircraft frequency on your car and there are model planes within range you could cause them to crash Last edited by Tronk; 01-06-2007 at 09:05 AM.
