Axial fest 2016

does anyone know what's going on with axial fest this year. I keep hearing talk that it's not happening or that it's happening but just won't be sponsored by axial? Usually I see some info on it by now and last time I looked at the axial site they didn't even have anything about a 2016 get together.

Hard to have Axialfest without Axial. but not sure it will be "Axialfest" without Parker. I think a lot of us are in the "wait and see" mode.

Axial will be running it,setting stages..

Recon G6 wont be there setting the stagesWith Parker as mc,thats all.

Axial and Recon have parted ways for 2016 season.
Maybe next year..

Or maybe recon will have its own Fest?? Still planning..

Attention Axialfest Veterans:
Hi, this year will be my first time at Axialfest and am Entered in the Adventurist and Show&Shine classes. I have a few questions. I have a SCX10 Deadbolt that I will be running and am not sure which body to run; the stock Deadbolt body or my custom Hummer H2 hard body. I am not finished customizing them but would like to know which one I should work on now vs after Axialfest. Do you think the Axial Judges would be biased towards an axial body for the show and shine?

I'd run the deadbolt personally. It's lighter so your rig will perform better for the Adventurist stuff (and you're batteries will last longer), and you can focus your time on getting the body ready for show & shine next year.

But, lets add a 500-yard perspective.

AXIALFEST, being a Customer Appreciation Festival is nothing without the customers. Without you guys, we would just be sitting in the office working on our regular duties. I personally could be wheeling my rig, yet I work countless additional hours on this event. But, its not about me. This event is for you guys & gals. When you guys decide you've not having fun at AXIALFEST then I guess it will be done. That all depends on you, you guys make the event what it is. We are just here to help facilitate fun. We too are in the "wait and see" mode. But according to our pre-registration numbers, we've exceeded last years numbers. If you look at the Axial FaceBook Events page on the AXALFEST2016 section, the "Maybe" number and the "Coming" number far exceeds the numbers of last year. What I make of that is, there are going to be a lot of people there for a common thread and I personally hope everyone has a ton of fun! But we are on waiting... we are working like crazy on making this event better than the last one which was better than the last one, which was better than the last one, which was better than the last one, which was better than the last one, which was better than the last one, which was better than the last one, which was better than the last one, which was better than the last one - since 2007!

I personally started manipulating the levers over the event in 2011.

Don't get me wrong, I want the best for the event and I hope all the hard work pays off. I'm no stranger to putting on RC events and can appreciate the work that goes into it. I also understand the difficulty in upholding expectations while making large changes to what the "norm" is.
I was on the Going list but things just aren't going to work out most likely.

Not getting your wrong at all - you are absolutely right. Parker did and does bring a lot of smiles to faces. He has set courses like no other. I will never dis-credit his abilities! I just wanted to bring to light that things can carry on, transform, transition and change to another level of greatness. Its large in part by what the people, the attending themselves make of the event.

You stated, "I was on the Going list but things just aren't going to work out most likely." Things aren't going to work out on your side or things aren't going to work out on our side? Either way, very sorry we will not have you in attendance this year.
