Default Nylint 1/6 Won't Stop

Hi all.
2 of my nephews received 1/6th crawlers for Christmas. They were purchased at a flea market as new, but they are used. No chance of return so I am trying to repair them.
I have been able to figure out several problems thanx to the fine people here at RCCAWLER.com .
The scorpion won't stop moving.
I have tried both transmitters with the same result.
I found a trim pot on the main board, but it only affects the steering trim.
Any ideas?

Thanx in advance

Thanx for the input robo-3.
I checked the diode(only 1 there D15), nothing touching.
While I was at it I moved everything else on the board and it made no difference. Just goes straight from forward to reverse, won't stop.

that sounds to me like it's a trim problem. which can only mean you have chip problems! double check all wires are connecting to where there saposed to go and not grounding. if none of that pans out i suggest parting it out. and if you do i could use a front

joehein,
Thanx for the reply. You could be right about the chip problem. I've checked for anything loose or disconnected.
I'm just hoping someone else has had the problem and found a solution.
Sorry, I can't part it out, It belongs to my nephew.
I'm just trying to fix it for him.
