Default 1/18 surging problem. any suggestions?

my 1/18 that was ran through water a while back due to my girlfriends brother is now running again but it stops then goes then stops then goes. any idea what it might be?

take the axle apart and let it dry out then look and see if theres anything wrong with any of the parts

this was like months ago and i had it apart and could not notice anything visually wrong with the parts

could also be dead batteries in the remote, put some new ones in and see

If it acts like it's cutting out intermittently, I would second the suggestion to try a new 9V battery in the remote transmitter. Also make sure the antenna is making a good connection with the circuit board on the rig.

try this:

hit the throttle and see how far it goes, if it does go more than 10-12 feet with out cutting out the antenna is good, if it stops before there, walk towards it while holding the throttle, if it goes forward again its the antenna.

try it and get back to us

well, its not the antenna but when i walk over to it and hold the throttle it still doesnt move for a few seconds. i'm gonna try to find another 9v battery and stick it in the controller then i'll post again. thanks guys
