This is my first scale truck. i had a lot of fun building and modifying this truck. its not as nice as some of the othe trucks ive seen here but i will be upgrading it as funds allow. its bascially a clod body on nylint axles with a custom chassis i made out of plastic. im using nylint electronics with stock tires and im planning on upgrading to a narrow 2.2 tire in the future. the axles dont have much torque i plan on upgrading them to a tlt axle soon. the articulation is pretty good about 3.5 inches under each tire. my cell phone is the only camera i have again so i hope you can see the truck good enough. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

5) Nylints are NOT SCALE, SORRY Nylint guys. While they use semi scale hard bodies the axles and chassis are NOT SCALE in any shape of form. Nylints should not be posted in the forum. Scale Crawler GUIDELINES

Some of you guys crack me up. Not in a good way; I just don't understand why people make the comments they do. If you don't like it, do you really need to say so. So, the truck has Nylint parts on it. It's not a dressed up Nylint. I know Nylints aren't allowed in this forum, but it doesn't have a Nylint chassis or body. Where do you draw the line? Many scale rigs have TLT-1 axles, right? Why aren't they forced to only post in the TLT sub-forum? Those are rhetorical questions by the way--I'm not actually looking for answers.:? As for the truck: I like the tires and rims. They fit the body well. As far as proportions go, it's more spot on than some worshipped scale rigs I've seen. Keep working on it and build a 2.2 comp rig, too.

I don't see the point in this post. Do you mean that if noob_superman change the axles to TLT ones this thread should be moved to TLT rigs section? If this truck is not scale I really don't know how a scale rig should look like. | |

I think it is a creative way to use Nylint axles, after all isnt that what scale building is? A creative way to use parts available to build a realistic vehicle. He stated that he was going to swap out the axles when they come available to HIM...He also advised the electronics will be swapped out too...Besides it looks really clean and looks more scale than some builds I have seen...If it had TLT axles and Nylint tires people view would change and everyone would be saying nice rig... My 2 cents...Looks good

update on my build, i have a moped v16r coming from hong hong and ive deciced to fab up a behind the axle front steering with a 645 mg i had. ill try to get a pic of the custom chassis i built from plastic its kind of hard to get the body off i used part of the body to mount the shocks and i have a ton of screws in it holding it on. i think this truck looks pretty realistic, im going to spray paint the blue and red pieces i used undearneath as four links so it looks a little better.
