Why dont you just mast off those two stripes and paint hte rest then remove the masking material and then paint those? Any hobby shop or Tower sells it.

I would only suggest liquid mask if you are doing something really elaberate. I've never used it and i've done some nice things as I didn't see a reason to buy it.... YET | |

You can also use the clear plastidip that comes in an aerosol can. Always paint the darker color first.

I have used the liquid mask before. It was a long time ago, one of the first bodies I ever painted. It really is a pain to use. For striping tape is sooo much easier. Plus, with tape you will get very straight lines (I found it difficult to cut the liquid stuff straight I am too shaky). rash |

ive been trying to use liquid mask on my latest paint job, Ive been using faskolor (water based) and it softens the liquid mask and bonds it with the paint and when i try to remove it, it takes the paint off with it. |

I have been using the fasmask lately and have had great results. The only problem as mentioned above is you can't be too shaky when cutting.

i get the smallest bottle, and apply 2 coats with a 1" paint brush then using my wife's hairdryer between coats to help with drying time. using a red fine tip pen i draw what i want on the overspray film that's on the body then use a sharp exacto to cut out my design on the inside.hope this make's sense.

With the blue painters tape you have to be really careful! The lack of "sticky residue" can lead to the masking lines bleeding. Make sure that you rub down all the edges and get a good seal before you paint!

heres what ive used in the past, ive found the bob dively (sp) liquid mask to be the best and as far as tape i like the 3m green automotive masking tape, i find it at any place that sells paint supplies. also try the fineline tape from 3m for thinner lines, its more of a plastic tape and works great for 1/8-1/4 inch lines.

You can also paint the white first, when its dry, go over it with silver, it won't darken the white, but makes it opaque enough that the green won't show through
