| looking for hardware kit?
I'm building a rig and I'm needing small nuts and bolts of various lengths and 3mm set screw (I'm guessing) to assemble my links. I can find links and ends all day but not the hardware to couple the two together. There has to be someone/somewhere to find all this hardware with as many custom builds I see going somebody must have a source for it. thanks

| Re: looking for hardware kit? Team KNK Hardware has what you need. I also found stainless steel set screws, as well as a ton of other stuff, at Albany County Fasteners. |

That place is AWESOME!! Just ordered everything I've been looking for. Someone should make this a sticky. I'm sure there is plenty of other people looking for that same outfit. Thanks again! |

Screw Loose is also pretty good. Screw Loose Hardware - Bulk Screws For The R/C tool Box But if you buy hardware yourself you will get a lot more for your money. Fastener Express - Socket Head Cap Screws, Metric Screws , Fasteners and Anodized Aluminum for the Hobby Industry. is another place to get hardware including anodized aluminum hardware. |

Last night I stripped my rig to the bones and changed out all the hardware and have enough leftover to replace the hardware in another 2 rigs. Can't beat the value. (25) 3mm x 6mm Cap Head in A2=$2.50 At a RC store compared to Socket Head Screws A2 SS - 3M x .5 x 6M (FT) Qty-25 $0.83 at the fastener store.

Best I can give you is they are much better then the stock scx10 fasteners. I ended up transferring all of mine from the bags to a box. In the transfer and hardware switching on 2 scx10s now, I did not have any with malformed heads or buggered up threads. All was good and I am happy enough.

| Re: looking for hardware kit? I've been pleasantly surprised with Albany County Fasteners. All but one pack of screws I've ordered from them have been top quality. That one set of flat heads had the hex slot slightly out of tolerance and would allow the driver to slip. They were still usable and the next batch I got was fine. I was going to bring it up with ACF but it was less than $1 and not really worth the effort.

For $25.00 I replaced 2 rigs and have enough left over for a third, buying from a fastener company. Rc screwz would have cost $90.00 to do the same, and that didn't account for shipping.
