TT Kaiser XS

6 Attachment(s)
I got hit up on FB about a new sale truck coming down the pipe.

Looks ok, diffs are huge and not feeling the 380 can motor but the price is decent for an RTR. Potential good kids truck or base for a Class 1.
Factory parts list is already out so I see support being decent.

Specs from the factory
Scale 1 : 14
Wheel Base(mm) 214 mm
Weight(g) 1,095 g (Battery included)
Length(mm) 365 mm
Width(mm) 189 mm
Height(mm) 174 mm
Motor 390 Brushed Motor
Battery 850mah Li-Ion 7.4V

I dropped this in the Micro Crawler sub forum a few days ago. Haven't gotten much action on it. I'm curious what they are going to charge for it. If they can get it below $200, that'd be awesome. $250 would be pushing it seeing as you could get an SCX-10 for $50 more.

This thing looks pretty cool though. I wish it was a 1/18 scale, but I'll pick one up anyway. First thing I'm going to do is flip that tranny around and move the battery up front.

My bad, I did a search and nothing came up so I posted here.

Retail is set at $199.99 so they got that figured out.

Where did you get confirmation on the price?

I run a hobby shop so I got the price points with the spec sheets.

It looks like a mini MST CMX. I absolutely hate the massive, chunky pumpkin axles. The giant protrusion on the skidplate, which I assume is for the spur gear, is also a design flaw and I would assume the truck will get hung up there often. And then it's plastic fantastic with no aluminum in sight. Hopefully at least the gears are metal. Other than that I like it.

Interesting and as soon as I saw the pics, I thought MST CMX too.

Yessir. The ".5 Class" is coming along nicely .. Or is it "Class 0"?

I've gotta find specs on those driveshafts . Suzuki reasons :ror:

On something this slow and small, I don't really see the need for metal parts outside of the drivetrain. Maybe on the steering linkage, but other than that, you probably won't be breaking many parts due to stress.

I'm more interested to know whether or not this is waterproof.

I like it. For that price it would be a good starter rig.

Agreed. Its sad when these companies put out a product without doing the homework on what other vendors are doing or have done.

Like seriously, who thought that part right there was a good idea?

I'll still grab up a couple see how they do.

Cool concept but that transmission/skid plate is pretty ridiculous.

I agree with the above. But if they made it perfect we would have nothing to tinker with.

X2. I also hate the proportions of the body and wheels... Not to mention the clearly-Poison Spyder bumper taken straight from Axial.

I just noticed that it has two rocklight led holders per side where the nerfbars mount to the chassis!

It does look like it now that you mention it

it does kind of remind me of the cmx, except mst made sure the tires would tuck and gave it a c channel frame.

I'd probably go this route before I went to the Kaiser xs:

HBX No. 16885 2.4G 1 : 16 Scale 4 Wheel Drive Off-road Truck Racing Car-60.41 | GearBest.com

yeah, it's a china importer, but it's 1:16, making it more in line with the ecx and slickrock, and it's $60.

Haven't been on here in awhile but I figured I'd post up here as well.

Thunder Tiger has got me one of these for review and testing. A big thank you goes out to them. These are due in the U.S. at the end of June.

I will update as soon as possible with an unboxing and running video.

Also here's the latest running clip from TT.
